Flash In The Pan 2013
Just a quick reminder to all members of the club about of one the most prestigious sporting rifle competitions in the country offering the most valuable of trophies – The Flash in the Pan.
This competition will take place on Tuesday 21st May starting at 7pm. It consists of a 60 shot match – 30 shots precision and 30 shots turning targets. This is a great competition and a chance to have a practice before the Open Shoot in June.
The cost is £3 per head with all monies being “donated” going into the Al’s Charity Box – local charity to be decided later in the year.
This is a club competition so come along and support it. If you are coming, send me a wee email by clicking HERE and let me know so I have a rough idea of numbers and how many buns to buy!!
Thanks and see you then.

NSRA Rules and Regulations – 2013 Edition
NSRA Rules and Regulations – 2013
The new edition of NSRA Rules and Regulations came into effect on 1 April 2013 and the only changes compared with the 2012 edition are in section 4 (Shooters with Physical Disabilities). The principal change covers the introduction of standard conditions on Dispensation Certificates and the ability at add special conditions and time limits in individual cases. Other changes remove the need for applications to be submitted in duplicate and update cross references to international rules. The new edition is available HERE.
Unacceptable NI Firearms Licensing Delays
BASC challenges unacceptable NI firearms licensing delays.
Lengthy delays in firearms licensing in Northern Ireland are unacceptable and must be dealt with according to the UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).
BASC NI is aware of cases which have taken more than a year before a decision is made and others which have taken several months. Delays are affecting both first-time applicants and those who have held a firearm certificate for a number of years. One gamekeeper with forty years’ experience waited for more than seven months to hear if he would be granted a different calibre rifle for fox control.
